  • Fertilisers

With the agricultural industry facing growing financial and environmental pressures, the importance of choosing the right fertiliser for your soil has never been more critical. Fortunately, Glasson Fertilisers has the experience and the technology to help. We’ve been producing high quality agricultural fertilisers since 1990 and now supply to merchants and farmers throughout northern England, the midlands, Wales and southern Scotland.

Produced and packed in our modern, purpose built manufacturing plants, our fertilisers include blended and compounded products for both arable and grassland, and are distributed directly to the farm. Bringing the raw materials straight from the ship to our factory means that transport costs are kept to a minimum, and delivering them directly to the customer eliminates further supply chain costs. These factors produce substantial savings, which, in turn, can be passed on to you. Thus, you can be wholly confident in our pledge to deliver products and services of exceptional quality, and all at a price that is right for you.

We recognise that our success depends on your success, so you’ll find that we are always 100% committed to ensuring that you get the best possible yields from your land. Our blended fertilisers are a mix of nitrogen, phosphates and potash and will give you the combination that’s exactly right for your needs. In addition we can offer a comprehensive range Nitrogen and Sulphur products, straight fertilisers, and speciality products including trace elements. Whichever you prefer, you can be sure of an attractive combination of price and performance every time.

    Products & Technical Support

bag_edited1Glasson fertilisers are manufactured at our state of the art facilities at our three production sites at Winmarleigh Lancashire, Birkenhead on Merseyside, and Goole on Humberside. With a substantial production capacity, and the strategic locations of our plants we can offer fast response times to back up our delivery service especially in peak season. Most importantly, the plants are equipped with the latest manufacturing technology to give even further improved product quality, through more efficient mixing, oil coating and screening of our fertilisers to ensure that they reach you in perfect condition.

However, we recognise that building a successful partnership requires more than great quality products. With this in mind, our experienced and helpful staff are dedicated to supplying a first class personal service and after sales support. We offer a comprehensive FACTS-qualified advice and agronomy service, and can provide soil sampling and recommendations on request. Glasson Fertilisers are also members of the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) and the Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS).

    5 Point Plan

    1. Wherever possible use a Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS) approved supplier.
    2. Wherever possible keep in a secure area such as a building or sheeted away from public views.
    3. Carry out regular stock checks and report any loss to the Police immediately (call 101)
    4. Avoid leaving fertiliser in a field overnight – never leave fertiliser in the field for a long period of time.
    5. Remember it is illegal to sell ammonium nitrate without the correct documentation.
