  • Glasson Fertilizers acquire Montrose site

Glasson Fertilizers are pleased to announce that we have reached agreement to purchase the former Bunn Fertiliser blending plant and storage facilities located in the port of Montrose, on the east coast of Scotland.

The agreement is subject to final approval from the Competitions and Mergers Authority and is expected to be completed by early November.

The acquisition will allow further expansion of our fertiliser business into Scotland, which is already an important and growing market for us. The plant at Montrose will complement our existing production facilities at Winmarleigh, Goole and Birkenhead, and allow us good geographical coverage of the majority of the UK fertiliser market.

This is a further step in our strategy to increase the scale of our fertiliser business and ensure that we can offer an efficient and effective service to our customers. We look forward to working with our new colleagues in Montrose, and giving them our full support in growing our fertiliser business.

Robert Ingham, Glasson Fertiliser Director, commented “We are delighted to have the opportunity to expand our fertiliser operations with the acquisition of the Montrose facility, and we look forward to working with and being able to better service our customers throughout Scotland.”
