Glasson Dock is a thriving port with a long established business in international trade, and it is here that, as the Glasson Group, we operate our multi-berth dock.

Port Services:
We handle ships of up to 3,000 tonnes through the dock, supported by a range of cranes and handling equipment for bulk and general cargo. Substantial areas of covered warehousing and outdoor quayside storage are available together with packaging facilities, forwarding and transport facilities. We also run fully computerised stock control systems and provide shipping agency and chartering services.

Our regular liner service to the Isle of Man is capable of handling any general cargo. A groupage service is available for smaller shipments, through which customers enjoy low costs by sharing containers. The service normally operates daily during the working week.

80,000 sq ft of storage undercover on the quayside.
42,000 sq ft of undercover storage in the dock vicinity.
Quayside stockpiling facilities for bulk cargoes.

Handling
IHI, Hitachi, NCK and Jones cranes with 18 tonne lift capacity which can be rigged for handling bulk or general cargo and containers.
Crane with lift capacity of 70 tonnes.
4 fifty tonne capacity weighbridges on site.

Transport
Handling facilities for HGVs up to maximum weight permitted on UK roads.

Packing Facilities
Bags from 10kgs to 1000kgs.
Full range of materials including polypropylene, plastic and paper.
