| Camion is one of the highest yielding 2 row varieties available. It has very stiff straw, medium length and excellent grain quality with good resistance to Rhynchosporium and Net Blotch. Camion has become one of our most popular varieties.

CARAT (Nickerson) |

| Carat is a very popular high yielding 2 row variety with early maturity. It has excellent grain quality with high specific weight. The straw is stiff but shorter than most other 2 varieties.

HAKA (CPB Twyford) |

Haka has prove a successful variety in the West. It has particularly bold grain which gives a very good specific weight. It is early to mature, has moderate to long straw and is rated 8 for standing ability in HGCA trials. However, it is only rated 5 for resistance to Rhynchosporium.

This variety has a huge yield (around 6% higher than Carat). It has good all round disease resistance apart from Mildew. A medium length stiff strawed variety.

BOOST (Syngenta) |

| Boost is the 1st hybrid variety with very strong agronomics. It yields 5% above Sequel. It has particularly high specific weight and large grain with low sieving losses. It is the earliest maturing of all varieties. A long strawed variety with good resistance to Rhynchosporium and Net Blotch but susceptible to Mildew and rust diseases.

| This new malting variety is slightly higher yielding than Pearl. However, it will only suit a small number of growers in our region due to it’s weak straw.
